Spiritual Disciplines
Faith at the Center of Everything
Most fitness programs are built around self-improvement. LVF starts from a different place entirely — that God cares about the whole person, and that even a 10-minute workout can be an act of worship when it’s done with that in mind.

The goal isn’t to add spiritual content to a fitness app. It’s to help youth understand that Christ plays a role in all things — including how they treat their bodies, how they handle hard days, and how they grow over time.

For many youth, the spiritual disciplines in LVF will be their first real experience with prayer, Scripture, and personal reflection. LVF doesn’t assume background knowledge or a certain level of faith. It simply creates space for God to show up in the everyday — and lets Him do the rest.
What's Included
Daily Scripture
Each week of every challenge is anchored to a verse that connects directly to what youth are working on physically and spiritually. It’s not random — it’s intentional, woven into the rhythm of the week so that God’s Word becomes a consistent part of their daily routine rather than something reserved for Sunday morning.
Prayer Time
A dedicated space built into each week — not as an afterthought, but as a practice. For many youth, this may be their first time praying intentionally outside of a church setting. LVF makes that moment feel accessible, not intimidating — a simple invitation to talk to God about what’s actually going on in their lives.
Vertical Reflections
Short weekly videos that go deeper into the challenge’s theme. These aren’t lectures — they’re honest, direct conversations designed to meet youth where they are and point them toward something bigger than themselves. Each reflection connects the physical work of the week to a spiritual truth they can carry with them.
Journaling Prompts
Weekly questions that invite youth to reflect on what they’re learning — about their bodies, their faith, and themselves. These aren’t fill-in-the-blank exercises. They’re thought-provoking prompts designed to help youth connect Scripture to real life. They also serve as natural conversation starters between youth and their parents.
From Knowing to Living
Here’s the honest truth: most Christian families already know what matters. They know they should pray, read Scripture, and pursue God. The gap isn’t knowledge — it’s integration. It’s what happens when life gets busy and the best intentions get buried under the schedule.

LVF was built for that gap. Not to replace what you’re already doing — church, youth group, family devotions — but to provide the daily touchpoints that keep faith from becoming a Sunday-only experience. The spiritual disciplines in LVF are intentionally short and achievable, because the goal isn’t to overwhelm. It’s to build a rhythm.
The LVF Difference:
We don’t slap Bible verses onto generic workouts. Every spiritual element is connected to the physical challenge of that week — because growth in one area teaches something about growth in the other. When your body learns to push through discomfort, your faith learns the same lesson.
As your youth builds physical habits through the app, they’re also building a rhythm of returning to God’s Word, sitting in prayer, and reflecting on how their faith connects to their everyday life. That’s the kind of habit that lasts well beyond any 30-day challenge.
A Note for Parents
The spiritual disciplines in LVF are designed for your youth to engage with independently — but they’re built to create connection points with you. Every week you’ll receive a parent email that previews the verse, the reflection theme, and a discussion question you can bring to the dinner table, the car ride, or a quiet moment before bed.

You don’t need to have all the answers. You just need to show up and ask the question. LVF gives you what to say — the relationship does the rest.
For Parents
Read the weekly verse before your youth does. When they mention it, you’re already in the conversation. That’s not a coincidence — that’s discipleship.
What Your Youth Will Experience
Across every 30-day challenge, youth will encounter:
-
A weekly Scripture verse tied to the challenge theme
-
A Vertical Reflection video that connects faith to real life
-
A dedicated day of prayer and journaling each week
-
Thought-provoking questions that go beyond surface-level answers
-
A growing awareness that God is present in all areas of life — not just the spiritual ones
Some youth will come in with a strong faith foundation. Others may be taking their very first steps. LVF meets both of them where they are and walks alongside them from there.
